Antarctica: Alleged UFO Discovery Rekindles Debate Over Ancient Extraterrestrial Presence

A new and striking claim is stirring the ufology community. Scott Waring, a well-known figure in the field and founder of the website UFO Sightings Daily, says he has identified an unidentified flying object buried beneath the ice of Antarctica. According to his statements, the object is a 50-meter-wide alien disk, recently exposed due to accelerated ice melting.

The alleged discovery was made on October 8, 2025, near the coordinates 77°51'48"S, 165°13'40"E. The object reportedly appears partially uncovered, revealing a circular structure composed of two distinct layers. Waring describes the presence of round porthole-like windows, approximately two feet in diameter, encircling the lower section of the craft.

According to the ufologist, the object may have been trapped in ice for hundreds of thousands of years, suggesting an extraterrestrial presence on Earth long before the emergence of humanity. He argues that such a discovery, if confirmed, could profoundly reshape our understanding of Earth's history and humanity’s place in the universe.

The images cited by Waring are said to come from publicly accessible satellite data. However, no independent verification has been provided by scientific institutions, space agencies, or polar research teams. Experts caution that natural geological formations, shadow effects, and optical illusions are common in icy environments, making satellite image interpretation particularly complex.

Antarctica remains one of the most hostile and least explored regions on the planet. Extreme weather conditions and logistical challenges significantly limit field expeditions, complicating any immediate on-site investigation.

If confirmed, the implications of such a find would be enormous, both scientifically and geopolitically. Waring even claims that the nation first to recover the object could become a “new world power overnight.”

For now, in the absence of tangible evidence and scientific validation, this alleged discovery remains speculative. It nevertheless highlights the enduring fascination with extraterrestrial life and the mysteries still buried beneath Antarctica’s vast ice sheets.
